A corporate boat charter in Tampa is the team outing people actually show up for. Private boat, licensed captain, your playlist, your drinks, and the downtown skyline as the backdrop. Nobody from the office has to host, drive or clean up.
Corporate Boat Charters in Tampa: Private, Captained, and Easy to Expense
Gone are the days of crusty captains and underwhelming pontoon boats. Our charters run on Adventure I, a deck boat over 26 feet with faux-leather seating, a premium sound system, color-changing lights and a swim platform. It is USCG licensed for up to 12 passengers, your captain is included, and it departs from the Davis Island Boat Ramp a few minutes from downtown, with Armature Works and most public docks in downtown Tampa available as pickup points. If the office is downtown, the boat can meet you a short walk from it.
Since 2022 we have hosted team outings, client evenings and holiday parties for Tampa companies, and the format is the same every time: one booking, one captain, one boat (or two for bigger teams), and a route built around what your group wants out of the afternoon or evening.
Team outings and offsites
The classic team charter is a 4-hour afternoon: cruise the Riverwalk past Amalie Arena and the convention center, run out past Davis Islands, and either anchor at a sandbar for a swim or dock at Armature Works for a round. Teams that want a real day out take the 6-hour charter and add Beer Can Island. It is BYOB, so the drinks budget is whatever you make it, and there is cooler space with ice under every seat.
Client entertainment
For a client or a prospect, the 3-hour sunset cruise is the one to book: departures at 4:30, 5:30 or 6:30 PM, a cruise along Bayshore and the skyline, then anchor off Davis Islands for the sunset. Twelve seats is the right size for a conversation rather than a crowd, the music stays at whatever level you want, and a dock-and-dine stop at a waterfront restaurant fits neatly into the evening. Bring the good bottle; we bring the ice.
Office holiday parties in December
If you are searching for a holiday party boat rental or a Christmas yacht charter in Tampa, this is the private version. December in Tampa is sweater weather at worst, the sunsets are the sharpest of the year, and the waterfront is lit up for the season. Two formats work best: the sunset cruise with a champagne toast at anchor, or the Wave Rave night charter with a live DJ and the color-changing lights on, which turns the holiday party into the night out the team talks about until spring. Garland and lights on the boat are welcome; we tie everything down before we leave the dock. If your date lines up with the Tampa holiday lighted boat parade, say so when you book, and read our holiday boat guide for what to wear and bring.
Bigger teams: 13 to 24 guests on two boats
Twelve is the Coast Guard limit for one boat, so a department of 20 books a sister charter: two boats that leave together, run the same route and anchor side by side at every stop, so the whole team spends the day together rather than split across two outings. It is priced as two charters at the normal rate, with no group surcharge.
Booking and paying as a company
Book online in a couple of minutes with a company card or Afterpay at checkout, or call us to set it up and pay by card, cash, PayPal or Venmo. Your confirmation arrives by email for the expense report. Book at least 48 hours ahead (December dates go much earlier than that), and if the weather forces a cancellation on our end you get a full refund or credit. Guests under 21 are welcome on board; alcohol is for 21 and over. Dogs under 20 lbs can come too, if the office dog is part of the team.
Tell us the headcount, the date and the vibe, and we will suggest the format. Send us a note or book straight into the calendar below.
Which Charter Fits Your Company Event
- Client evening or small team toast: 3-hour sunset cruise, any day of the week.
- Afternoon team outing: 4-hour private charter, one main stop.
- Full offsite on the water: 6-hour or 8-hour charter, islands and a dock stop.
- Holiday party with a DJ: Wave Rave night charter, Thursday to Saturday evenings.
- More than 12 people: sister charter on two boats, up to 24.
Optional add-ons for any of them: a custom-setlist DJ, a professional photographer for the team photos, and bottle service so nobody from the office plays bartender. All priced separately.
Corporate and Holiday Charter FAQs
How many people can a corporate boat charter in Tampa take?
Twelve guests per boat under our Coast Guard licensing, with the captain on top of that. Teams of 13 to 24 book a sister charter: two boats on the same route that anchor side by side at every stop, priced as two charters with no group surcharge.
Can we book a holiday party boat in December?
Yes. The 3-hour sunset cruise and the Wave Rave night charter are the two formats that suit an office holiday party best. December weekends and the dates around the Tampa holiday lighted boat parade go first, so book as early as your headcount allows.
How does payment work for a company?
Book online with a company card or Afterpay at checkout, or arrange payment by cash, PayPal or Venmo with us directly. We do not take Zelle or Cash App. Need a receipt or booking confirmation for expenses? It arrives by email when you book, and we are happy to send anything else your finance team asks for.
Is food or alcohol included on a corporate charter?
No. Every charter is BYOB, so bring the drinks your team likes (21 and over for alcohol), and bring catering or a charcuterie board if you want food on board. Cooler space with ice is under every seat, and water and sunscreen are included. We can also dock at a waterfront restaurant for a dock-and-dine stop.
Cancellation terms, what is on the boat and where we meet are the same on every charter: the FAQ page, what's included and pickup locations.
